Zion Church, Macon County, Georgia, daughter of Jacob HAMITER and Harriette BICKLEY; (3) Mary [unknown].

Coogle. REF: South Carolina LUTHERAN, vol. LIII, January 1974, No. 1 - "Jacob B. Kleckley was born November 1, 1791 near Lexington, S.C. He was licensed to preach in 1839 and ordained in 1843. He served St. Peter's, Lexington and as a missionary from the South Carolina Synod went to organize and serve congregations in the Oglethorpe, Georgia area. He traveled 250 miles by horeseback to attend the annual meeting of the South Carolina Synod. In 1860 he was one of the four missionary pastors who participated in the organization of "The Evangelical Lutheran Synod of the State of Georgia and Adjacent States." He died in 1862."

Notes for Christenah COOGLE: Rev. Godfrey Dreher's Journal states that Jacob Kleckley's first wife's funeral was preached on 1 October 1821. He was minister of Zion Lutheran Church in Georgia.

Notes for Frances A. HAMITER: On 17 July 1820, the children of Jacob and Nancy Hamiter filed a petition in Richland County, South Carolina for their share of the estate of their aunt, Nancy Bickley. In this petition they stated that their father, Jacob Hamiter, had recently died and they had no guardian legally qualified to take charge of the management thereof. Thomas Shular was appointed guardian. [Richland County Petitions, Roll 154, year 1820] In the 1880 census shows Frances living in the household of James W. Smith and his wife Catherine Kleckley Smith and was listed as being 79 years old.
