He married (1) on 3 Feb 1841 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina Sarah Ann CURRY, born 19 Feb 1819 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina; died 19 Mar 1876 in Smith Station, Lee Co., Alabama; buried in Mount Zion Cem., Smith Station, Lee Co., Alabama, daughter of Stephen CURRY and Mary [---]; (2) on 23 Jul 1876 Ceillia Rebecca VINSON.

Notes for Andrew Kelly TATUM: Andrew Kelly Tatum family bible in possession of Andrew Karl Tatum, Birmingham, AL. Andrew and Sarah Ann had two children born in SC before moving to Lowndes Co., MS around 1846. Two children were born in MS before he family moved east to Macon Co., AL in about 1850. They moved again to Smith Station, Lee Co., AL in 1871.

a. Susan E. TATUM, born 25 Mar 1842 in South Carolina; died 9 Sep 1846 in Lowndes County, Mississippi.

b. Mary Anna TATUM, born 12 Apr 1844 in South Carolina. She married on 21 Feb 1861 in Tuskegee, MacOn Co., Alabama Derrill Henry SMOAK, born abt 1836 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina.

c. Elvira Emily TATUM, born 21 Oct 1846 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina; died 17 Feb 1921 in Woodford, Carter Co., Oklahoma. She married on 28 Dec 1865 in Tuskegee, Macon Co., Alabama David Avery HOOD, born 31 May 1842 in Tuskegee, Macon Co., Alabama; died 16 Apr 1918 in Woodford, Carter Co., Oklahoma, son of James HOOD and Sarah AVERA. Move to Texas in 1871, residing there until 1879 when they moved into Indian Territory not far across the Red River from Gainesville. In 1888 the family moved to Ardmore. Moving to Woodford in 1892. Obiturary Daily Ardmoreite March 17, 1921. Elvira Emily Tatum applied for Confederate Widow's Pension 6 May 1919.

d. William Thomas TATUM, born 9 Sep 1848 in Mississippi; died 16 Nov 1907 in Meridian, Lauderdale Co., Mississippi. He married Mary Eliza PERRY.

e. John Stephen TATUM, born 2 May 1851 in MacOn County, Alabama; died 11 Dec 1881 in Fincastle, Henderson Co., Texas. He married on 17 Jun 1874 in Fincastle, Henderson Co., Texas Elizabeth Bird SADLER.

f. Andrew Fletcher TATUM, born 4 Nov 1853 in Alabama; died 24 Oct 1859 in Alabama.

g. Isaac A. TATUM, born 18 Oct 1854 in Alabama.

h. Jefferson Neal TATUM, born 10 Jul 1856 in MacOn County, Alabama; died 9 Feb 1926 in Fincastle, Henderson Co., Texas. He married (1) on 14 Dec 1879 in Tyler, Smith Co., Texas Josephine F. SADLER; (2) on 5 Dec 1885 in Tyler, Smith Co., Texas Elizabeth Bird SADLER.

i. Artemus Jennings TATUM, born 16 Feb 1859 in Alabama; died 29 Aug 1860 in Alabama.
