Migration of Alexander MCMORRIS and Elizabeth BAXTER

1. Alexander MCMORRIS, born abt 1760 in Scotland; died abt 20 Jul 1841 in Amite County, Mississippi, son of William MCMORRIS and Jane DONAVAN. He married in Edgefied District, South Carolina Elizabeth BAXTER, born abt 1768 in Scotland; died aft 1850 in Mississippi.

Children of Alexander MCMORRIS and Elizabeth BAXTER were as follows:

a. William MCMORRIS, born abt 1793; died bef 1841. He married Cynthia ANDREWS.

b. Mary MCMORRIS, born abt 1794; died bef 1833. He married on 28 Feb 1822 in Amite County, Mississippi Alexander THOMPSON.

c. Jane MCMORRIS, born 4 Sep 1795 in South Carolina; died 9 Nov 1882 in Port Vincent, Livingston Parish, Louisiana. She married Henry David FELDER.

d. Alexander MCMORRIS (JR), born abt 1798 in South Carolina; died abt 1850. He married on 9 Nov 1842 in Amite County, Mississippi Esther W. HARRINGTON, born 14 Apr 1817 in South Carolina; died 18 Apr 1898 in Summitt, Mississippi, daughter of Joseph HARRINGTON and Anne BROWN.

e. Elizabeth MCMORRIS, born abt 1800. She married on 24 Sep 1821 in Amite County, Mississippi Elizabeth BULLOCK.

f. Nancy MCMORRIS, born abt 1804. She married on 9 Dec 1824 in Amite County, Mississippi Hardy THOMPSON, born 5 Feb 1802 in Georgia; died 26 Nov 1866 in Pike County, Mississippi.

g. Penelope MCMORRIS, born abt 1807; died bef 1858. She married on 17 Dec 1827 in Amite County, Mississippi Edward BULLOCK, born in Georgia.

h. Baxter MCMORRIS.
