Migration of Daniel GARTMAN and Elizabeth DENT

1. Daniel GARTMAN, born 1802 in Lexington County, South Carolina; died in Macon Co., Alabama, son of Thomas GARTMAN (SR) and Sarah LONG. He married on 2 Dec 1824 in Lexington County, South Carolina Elizabeth DENT, born 1810 in South Carolina.

Notes for Daniel GARTMAN: The 1850 Macon Co., AL census shows some of his children and pinpoints the year he left SC as between 1832-1835. He was also on the Macon Co., AL 1840 census. The 1860 census shows he became a mechanic.

a. Catherine GARTMAN, born abt 1830 in South Carolina.

b. Wade GARTMAN, born abt 1832 in South Carolina.

c. Henry GARTMAN, born abt 1835 in Alabama.

e. Lawrence GARTMAN, born abt 1838 in Alabama.

f. John GARTMAN, born abt 1842 in Alabama.
