Migration of Nicholas SEAY and Margaret SNIDER
1. Nicholas SEAY, died abt 1828 in Mississippi He married in 1811/12 in Lexington District, South Carolina Margaret SNIDER, born 1794 in Lexington, South Carolina; died aft 1870 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, daughter of Jacob SNIDER and Susannah OSWALT.
Notes for Nicholas SEAY: Margaret divorced Nicholas Seay 14 Dec 1827 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama for desertion and adultery. He died about 1828 in New Orleans or Mississippi. [Ref: SC Sec of State Memorials of Conveyance, pg. 7 and Brent Holcomb's "Memorialized Records of Lexington Dist, SC 1814-1825, pg. 50; Tuscaloosa Co AL Bill for Divorce, 26 Mar 1825]. Nicholas Sea had children before 1777. REF: Joe Hughes.

a. Louisa SEAY, born 1819 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. She married (1) on 21 Sep 1834 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama William Henry OSWALT, born 23 Jul 1809 in South Carolina; died 31 Aug 1896, son of Michael OSWALT (Jr) and Susan WEBER; (2) on 5 Apr 1840 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama John H. ANDES. Louisa Seay changed her named to Louisa Weaver when her stepfather Henry Weaver became her guardian.
b. Ruhamia SEAY, born 1822 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. She married James ATKINSON, died in Columbia, Marion Co., Mississippi.
