Pleasant Cem., Hampton, Henry County, Georgia, son of George TURNIPSEED and Nancy (HAMITER) Turnipseed. He married Harriet NIPPER, born 1815 in South Carolina.

Notes for Levi Thomas TURNIPSEED: In 1830 Levi was 19 years old and living in Richland District, South Carolina. He was living with his parents. In 1840 Levi was 29 years old and living in Richland District, South Carolina. He was living with his wife Harriet 25 years old and his children. Jesse 3 years old and Fletcher 1 year old. In 1850 Levi was 39 years old and living in Richland District, South Carolina. He was living with his wife Harriet 35 years old and his children Jesse 13 years old, Fletcher 11 years old, Frances 7 years old, John 5 years old, and Jacob 3 years old. Levi's occupation was planter. On 13 August 1850, Eli Buckner of Henry County, Georgia sold to Levi Turnipseed of the state of South Carolina, for the sum of $3600.0 0 a total of 606 1/4 acres of land lying in Lots #47, #48, #49, #50 and #79, District 3, Henry County, Georgia. Witnessed: John Nipper, Robert Freeman. [Henry County, Georgia deed book M, page 315, recorded 22 January 1851.] On 5 April 1851, Levi Turnipseed sold to James L. Lupo, both of said county, for the sum of $893, 155 acres of land lying in Lot #50 and # 79, being a portion of 2 lots, District 3, Henry County, Georgia. Witnessed: A. W. Gray. Abram Peebles. [Henry County, Georgia Deed Book M, page 412, recorded 28 May 1851.] In 1860 Levi was 49 years old and living in Bear Creek, Henry County, Georgia. He was living with his wife Harriet 47 years old and his children Jesse 23 years old, Charlotte 19 years old, John 16 years old, Thomas 8 years old and Aunate 3 years old. Levi was a farmer with a real estate value of $6000.00 and a personal property value of $22,350.00. His son Jesse was a Physician. His daughter was listed as Charlotte R. Little. In 1870 Levi was 59 years old and living in Bear Creek, Henry County, Georgia. He was living with his wife Harriet 55 years old and his children Thomas 19 years old, Annate 12 years old, and Sally 12 year s old. Levi was a farmer with a real estate value of $2360.00 and a personal property value of $1272.00.

Pleasant Cem., Hampton, Henry County, Georgia. In 1850 Fletcher was 11 years old and living in Richland County, South Carolina. He was living with his parents.

c. Charlotte Frances TURNIPSEED, born 12 Apr 1841 in Richland District, South Carolina; died 8 Aug 1884 in St. George Parish, Effingham County, Georgia; buried in Mt. Pleasant Cem., Hampton, Henry County, Georgia. In 1850 Charlotte was 7 years old and living in Richland County, South Carolina. She was living with her parents.

d. John W. TURNIPSEED, born 15 Jul 1843 in Richland County, South Carolina; died 27 Apr 1928. In 1850 John was 5 years old and living in Richland County, South Carolina. He was living with his parents. In 1870 John was26 years old and living in Bear Creek, Henry County, Georgia. He was living with his wife Sallie 22 years old and his son Thomas 1 year old.
