1. John Rudolph MURPH, born in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died in Autauga County, Alabama He married in 1802 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina Jane STOUDENMEYER, born abt 1783 in Orangeburgh, South Carolina; died 25 Jan 1851 in Autauga County, Alabama.
Children of John Rudolph MURPH and Jane STOUDENMEYER were as follows:
a. Sophia MURPH. She married Lewis Myers WHETSTONE, born 10 Oct 1808 in Orangeburgh, South Carolina; died 11 Nov 1881 in Dutch Bend, Autauga Co., Alabama, son of Henry WHETSTONE and Elizabeth HOUSER.
