1. Adam Frederick TURNIPSEED, born 28 May 1823 in Cedar Creek, Richland County, South Carolina; died 2 Mar 1890 in Hampton, Henry County, Georgia; buried in Hand Cem., Hampton, Henry County, Georgia, son of George TURNIPSEED and Nancy HAMITER. He married Elizabeth F. [---], born 9 Nov 1821; died 9 Dec 1877; buried in Hand Cem., Hampton, Henry County, Georgia.

Notes for Adam Frederick TURNIPSEED: In 1850 Adam was 28 years old and living in living in Fairfield Count y, South Carolina. He was living with his wife Elizabeth 28 years old and his children, Georgiana 4 years old and David 1 year old. Adam was a planter with a real estate value of $1000.00. Adam and his wife were members of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Episcopal Church in Henry County, Georgia. He and his wife are buried in the Hand Burying Ground, near the site of the Mount Pleasant Church.

d. Oscar Hennessee TURNIPSEED, born 23 Apr 1861 in Henry County, Georgia; died 7 Apr 1925 in St. George Parish, Effingham County, Georgia.
