Written as a digital eBook by Dewey Gene Synder, a 7th Great Grandson of Hans Jacob Schneider the first family immigrant from Nöttingen, Germany to South Carolina, Mr. Synder traces the history of the Schneider family of Nöttingen from 1620 to 1774, the ancestors of the Snider family in the Colony and State of South Carolina From 1745 to 1900. He covers what is known of their migration, settlement, and descendants so that future generations may understand their origins and continue the work of preserving family history.
This 2nd Revision of this book was released in September 2026 to correct the date of arrival for the St. Andrew carrying its new colonist passengers arriving on December 20, 1744, and were administered the oath of allegiance to the British crown on December 31, 1744.
