Migration of Jacob KELLY and Nancy ROOF

1. Jacob KELLY He married NancyROOF, daughter of John ROOF.

Notes for Jacob KELLY: At one point an Andrew HOLMAN (Hallman?), orphaned somehow, lived with Rosannah Kelly Taylor (b. SC 1831) and her husband, Henry Taylor (b. 1787 SC). Andrew was born in SC. He eventually followed Rosannah's family down into Alabama, and he became a state senator. Rosannah Kelly was the daughter of Samuel KELLY who was the son of Andrew KELLY (Rev. War) who was the son of immigrant Jacob KELLY. They lived in the Orangeburg area.

Children of Jacob KELLY and Nancy ROOF were as follows:

a. Nancy KELLY, born in Ireland. She married Gotleib KLECKLEY, born 7 Aug 1776 in Lexington, South Carolina; died 9 Feb 1819 in Lexington, South Carolina; buried in Saluda River, Lexington, South Carolina, son of Johannes KLECKLEY.

b. Andrew KELLY, died in Alabama. He married unknown. Rev. War soldier.
