1. Jacob LINDER, born abt 1739 in Orangeburgh, South Carolina; died bef 22 Mar 1808 in Washington County, Georgia, son of Ludwig LINDER and Mary Magdalene [unknown]. He married in 1764 in South Carolina Eliner [unknown], born abt 1743 in Dorchester County, South Carolina.

Notes for Jacob LINDER: 1772 Dec 30 Surv. 400 acres. Plat 16:356; Grant 28:182; Memorial 12:227. Moved to Georgia abt 1800. Had 950 acres of pre-Revolution land grants.

Children of Jacob LINDER and Eliner [unknown] were as follows:

a. Jacob LINDER (JR), born abt 1766 in Dorchester County, South Carolina; died 1817 in St. George Parish, Effingham County, Georgia. He married Rebecca [unknown].

b. George LINDER, born abt 1768 in Dorchester County, South Carolina; died bef 9 Feb 1825 in Laurens County, Georgia.

c. Lewis LINDER, born 1770 in Orangeburgh, South Carolina; died abt 1857 in Laurens County, Georgia. He married (1) Elizabeth BROTHERS, born abt 1770 in South Carolina; died abt 1825 in Laurens County, Georgia; (2) on 6 Aug 1829 in Laurens County, Georgia Elizabeth L. HALL, born 1808 in Laurens County, Georgia; died 1857 in Laurens County, Georgia, daughter of Instance HALL. He died about 1857 in Laurens County, GA. His will was dated 24 Dec 1855, proved 1 Apr 1857 Laurens County, Georgia.
